Getting started
Free trial
Like all premium themes on the Shopify Theme Store, Luxe comes with a free trial option so you can test out the theme and get familiar with it’s features. During this trial period you can customize and configure the theme to create your storefront. Once you are ready to launch, you can purchase the theme. Please note that during the trial period, you cannot access the source code - therefore certain customizations such as installing external custom fonts are not possible.
Buy Luxe
Once you have installed Luxe in your online store, you can choose to purchase it exclusively from the official Shopify Theme Store. Do not purchase Luxe from any other platform or from an agency or other company. Furthermore, if you see Luxe advertised anywhere else please report this to us.
Themes are a single use product valid on a single store account only (as per the Shopify terms of service section 9.4). Each store usage requires an individual purchase for permitted rights to leverage the theme. The intellectual property rights of Luxe remain the property of the designer, Winter Studio.
Editing and customizing Luxe
Luxe works with Shopify’s 2.0 theme architecture. The theme uses templates to specify how content appears in your store on specific pages or page types. A template is made up of sections, which are composed of blocks. Sections and blocks are modules that you can use to customize the layout of your online store.
Templates are customized by adding, removing, and rearranging sections and the blocks within. You can have up to 25 sections per template, and each section can contain up to 50 blocks. Not all sections will have individual blocks to customize.
For further information about editing templates, sections and blocks, please refer to the instructions below:

Editing theme wording
You can customize your online store by changing the default text in your theme. For example, you can change “Cart” to “Shopping bag”, or “Sold out” to “Unavailable”.
To edit the wording within your theme:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Click the 3 dots icon adjacent to the theme that you want to edit.
- Select Edit default theme content from the dropdown menu.
- Click the tab or category that includes the text that you want to change, or use the Filter items search bar to locate phrases or words you want to change.
Theme style
Luxe comes with four pre-configured styles. Choosing one of these styles can be a quick way to try out different colors and other styles. Alternatively you can build out your store using the default settings and content.
To select a theme style:
1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme Settings
2. Select “Theme style” (last left menu item)
3. Select a style
Note: Choosing a theme preset does not change the homepage content or any other template content. To replicate the sections featured on any demo store, please refer to the list of sections as listed below.
